On behalf of the South Football Alumni Association, I would like to thank everyone for their help and support in making our second golf outing a huge success. This year's event was threatened by inclement weather; however, we were fortunate to have great weather and make the event fun for all those involved. We had 3 less golfers participate than last year, but two foursomes were cancelled at the last minute do due work conflicts and personal situations. So, on paper, we had more golfers and raised more money via event participation. Additionally, through sponsorships...50/50 raffle (won by Tim Howard)...and alumni donations towards the association and the Connor Dougherty Scholarship (Tom Dougherty's son)...we feel that we have begun to build a strong financial foundation and commitment to our scholarship and philanthropic goals.

The tournament/outing executive at SunEagles golf course, Jim Payne, stated several times what a pleasure it was to work with our crew and how well everyone represented themselves. We all made the day a great event...and Jim is still in awe of the support and participation levels from such a newly established organization. Jim deals with several groups that have been around 15-20 years and can only get 50-60 people out on the course and have few sponsors. I would like to think that we are all a part of something very special...and your participation and support is a clear indication of that fact.

A few things to bullet point:
Congrats to Joe Little and Frank Bennet for their induction into the Eagle Hall of Fame! Joe was an All-State football player... Frank was an All-State football player and basketball player as well. (Still two (2) All-State Little family members to go!) Please continue to stay in the loop with the Hall of Fame if you can. As a board member, it is difficult as a single voter to promote our Eagle Football tradition...getting more people involved in the future would help all of our commitments to the program

DVD CHAMPIONSHIP VIDEO!!! At our outing, everyone caught a glimpse of the 9 State Championship DVD Video that the TD Club is producing. Highlights and video from all the championships was put into a 20 minute trailer with tons of HD music! It was simply amazing and of NFL Films quality level. We still have copies if you're interested in seeing it.....
VIDEO FOOTAGE: If anyone has quality footage from pre 1989, 1989, 1990, and 1992...please contact me. The video production crew needs additional film footage whether from the TV or personal recordings as both can be used for splits screens and video production.
September 28, 2007: Hall of Fame Game: South vs. Wall at home. Joe and Frank will be honored as previously noted!
